We only collect the data we need to run the marketplace, process orders, and improve the site. We don’t sell your data. Ever.

Who we are

Among Makers is an EU-based marketplace connecting buyers with independent Nordic makers and small design studios.

What data we collect

When you visit or make a purchase on Among Makers, we may collect the following information:

• Contact details (such as your name, email address and shipping address)
• Order and payment information (we do not have access to your card or bank details)
• Account details if you choose to create an account
• Communication with us, as well as reviews you leave (we do not have access to direct communication between you and sellers)
• Technical information (such as IP address, device type, browser and cookies)

Why we collect it

We use your data to:

• Process orders and payments
• Enable communication between buyers and makers
• Provide customer support
• Improve and secure the platform
• Comply with legal and accounting requirements

Analytics and remarketing data is used to understand how the site is used and to show relevant ads. This only happens with your consent.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies, including third-party tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads remarketing.

Non-essential cookies are only used if you consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe Connect Express. Among Makers only stores Stripe IDs related to your account — never card or bank details.

Account deletion & data retention

You can delete your account at any time.

If you do:

• Your account is removed or anonymised
• Order data and invoices are retained for 7 years as required by EU accounting laws

Sharing data

We only share personal data when necessary:

• With the maker you buy from (to fulfil your order)
• With essential service providers (e.g. Stripe)
• When legally required

We never sell personal data.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. You can also object to certain processing and request data portability.
